Collection contains production material for thirteen published titles and includes typescripts, notes, page and galley proofs, reviews, research material, as well as production material by Maia Wojciechowska for several screenplay versions of some of her works. There is also a substantial amount of production for unpublished and/or un-verified titles, essays, reviews,translations mostly from Polish works, miscellaneous material including memorabilia, ephemera, royalty statements and other business material, some material related to her 1965 Newbery Award for Shawdow of a bull, and autobiographical and biographical material. The collection also contains a substantial amount of correspondence to and from Maia Wojciechowska including correspondence from the editors Jean Karl, Charlotte Zolotow, and Ursula Nordstrom, and Maia Wojciechowska's first husband Selden Rodman and their daughter Oriana Rodman; some of the personal and professional correspondence as well as some miscellaneous material is in Polish. There is also some miscellaneous material that appears to have been written by students at workshops, Oriana Rodman, and other family members and friends.
